what equipment do we need?
Make sure you are wearing comfortable walking shoes, hiking shoes are even better. As for clothes...check the weather forecast on our website. It is not a bad idea to wear long trousers as many hikes go trough low bush. In summer sun we really recommend sun protection.

Do we need to bring food or water?
On 1 day hike we take care of lunch but it's always good to bring enough water and some energy snacks like nuts, chocolate, candy, energy bar, dry beef,...

Do we need insurance?
We can arrange hiking insurance for you but it is always better to relay on your own travel insurance. The hikes we do are not listed under adventure sports and are usually covered by your travel insurance.

When you sign up for a hike the telephone number is optional. If you dont have a phone please give us the contact number of your hotel.

How do we pay?
We dont ask deposits or advance payments. You can pay at the meeting point.

Do we have an English speaking guide?
We "Heidi and Fred" will always be your guides and we speak Chinese, French, English, Dutch and German.

How do we reach our hiking destination?
Depending on the location we use public transportation and local taxis.

What means "get an open tour?
Open tour means that we put your favorite tour on the agenda. Our hiking prices are calculated on a minimum of 4 people. If you re only one or two person than the cost of the trip will be higher. If you put a tour on the agenda (1 month in advance)than other people can join your tour and the price will be as mentioned on the website.

There are to many locations, how can I choose the best one?
Write us an email with your wishes and expectations and we will assist you in making the best choice. Or just have a look at our pictures. Most locations show pictures in all four seasons.

We have small kids and older people in our group, can we join a hike?
Of course you can. We have been hiking with people form 6 till 80 years old and they all loved it. Good wild great wall is accessible for everybody!
