Nothing can beat a relaxing night in a country side hotspring after an amazing Great Wall hike.
From the orchards of Hengling valley a friendly smile from the local apple farmer will set us of for a 3 to 4 hour hike on the wild Great Wall. Small in the beginning, majestic at the end. Halfway the hike we go cross country passing an old abandoned village where we have a small lunch. Desert will be a beautiful, up hill hike until we reach a very well preserved great wall .From than on it s a relaxing 30 minute hike on the Great Wall. A bit more downhill our driver will pick us up and bring us to the valleys finest restaurant for dinner.
For desert, no more hiking but a relaxing evening in the healing water of the local hot spring with whirlpools, swimming pool, herbal medicine pool, outside hot spring and not to forget a wine pool! Once relaxed enough you can go for a massage, a game of snooker or fall asleep watching a movie in a super deluxe easy chair.

Next day after breakfast we will have a smooth train ride home to Beijing Railway station.

For 18 years the emperor had been trapped in the remote Mongolian prairie. During the captivity the Mongolians fiercely attacked Beijing at loss of hundreds of thousands deaths or wounds.

Before they occupied Juyongguan, a Mongolian detachment crossed Baiyangkou and Henglingkou west of Juyongguan, and threatened Beijing at her moat. Captain Yuqian, who was assigned at this turning point of history, successfully launched a counterattack to defend Beijing and so rescued Ming Dynasty.

Intending to build defensive lines for Central Plains, Ming Dynasty constructed fortresses, towers and studs along the existing great wall and inside the valleys,. Lots of these castles rarely being known today were hidden in mountains and so have been well preserved, Hengling city is one of those.

Hot springs are located in the countryside of Hebei province at the foot of the Great Wall. These offer a quiet peaceful situation away from the polluted air of the city. Most are hidden in the countryside, still undiscovered by the crowds. The temperature of the clear blue water flowing from these geothermal hot springs is around 80 degrees. The hills from which these springs flow have 28 different minerals, giving the water healing properties that the locals respect. These springs are in the heart of the wine country, surrounded by 16,000 acres of vineyards. One special treatment offered is massage using oil made from the grape seeds.
