In Beijing Municipality, the Great Wall expands over approximately 630km. Except for about 50km of the Great Wall developed for tourism at scenic spots like Badaling and Simatai, the majority of the wall is still left untouched, making it extraordinarily well-preserved. Dandelion will guide you to those most remote and long deserted parts of the Wild Great wall.

This hike starts at the 1000 year old Baiyu village. Hiking towards the mountains we'll hike trough a really cool canyon. We ll have lunch on a scenic spot with the view on Beijing's highest peak (LingShan 2300m) You ll need a bit of fitness level for this hike but hiking trough the high grass on top of this mountain ridge is just pure enjoyment. At the foot of Ling Mountain our driver will wait for us and bring us back to Beijing.

7 Towers Great Wall is hidden between the luxuriant woods and Yellow Grassland, and situated at mountain meadows 1773 m above sea level. The grass here is only green for 3 months. Since the rest of the year the crass has a deep yellow color it is called Yellow Grassland.
Most surprising is that despite several hundred years enduring the wind and snow, the wooden window pillars in front of the hall from each watch tower are still well-preserved and the wood quality is still solid.
