Four Sisters Mountain (Three peaks)

Four Sisters Mountain Peak One, Peak Two, and Peak Three are located in charmingly beautiful Northeastern Sichuan Province. Both Peak One and Peak Two are introductory high altitude peaks with moderate difficulty. Peak Three is a moderately technical high altitude peak. All conveniently located very close to each other and can be climbed on the same expedition! Once you have bagged all three you will have completed the Siguniang Hat trick!

Four Sisters Mountain Peak One (5,025 meters), Peak Two (5,276 meters), and Peak Three (5,355 meters) Expedition Plan

Four Sisters Mountain Peak One, Peak Two, and Peak Three are located in charmingly beautiful Northeastern Sichuan Province.

Four Sisters Peak One, Two, and Three are great entry level high-altitude climbs for beginners. Peak Three is the most difficult as it presents some, but not any overwhelming technical challenges. Those who have healthy, good physical condition and hiking experience are welcome climb with us.

During the climb, our professional alpine guides will carry out the mountaineering training necessary to enable all clients to have the best chance of reaching the summit.

Once you have bagged all three you will have completed the Siguniang Hat trick!

Four Sisters Peak One, Peak Two, and Peak Three Expedition Plan

 

D1:Arrival in Chengdu and arrival in Siguniang town (altitude 3,100 meters)

Each climber should arrive in Chengu before 2 PM to begin the expedition. From there we will provide transportation and drive about 3-4 hours to Siguniang town. In Suguniang town we will settle into our Tibetan style lodging and begin the process of acclimatizing to the altitude.

D2Siguniang town (altitude 3,100 meters)

The purpose of the second day is to adapt and acclimatize to the high altitude. There is no better place to do this than Siguniang town, a quaint Tibetan style village laden with monasteries. In addition to taking in the place, we will drive to an altitude of above 4,000 meters and take a short hike at the high altitude before heading back to Siguniang town.

D3Siguniang town to Peak One Base Camp (altitude 4,200 meters)

After a nice warm breakfast, we will set out for base camp. The hike to base camp is about 12 kilometers and will take about 5-6 hours. A horse can also be rented for an additional cost to take clients to base camp. The scenery is magnificent as we fix our eyes on the snow-capped mountains while herdsmen guide their flocks through the grasslands in the distance.

D4Peak One Base Camp to Peak One Summit (altitude 5,025 meters) and trek to Peak Two Base Camp (altitude 4,300 meters)

Day four is a day we have all been waiting for, our first summit day! We will set off from base camp at about 4 AM for the summit and hike about 3-4 hours to reach the summit by 8 AM. After enjoying the scenery we will hike back to Peak One base camp (about 2 hours) and from Peak One base camp we will hike about 2 hours to Peak Two base camp. A horse can also be rented for an additional cost to take clients to Peak Two base camp. Once at Peak Two base camp we will take a rest and enjoy an early dinner and sleep in preparation for the next day’s summit attempt.

D5:Peak Two Base Camp (altitude 4,300 meters) to Peak Two Summit (altitude 5,276 meters) and to Siguniang town (altitude 3,100 meters)

Day five is another summit day as we will set off for the summit of Peak Two at about 3 AM. We will hike about 5-6 hours to reach the summit by about 8 AM. After enjoying the scenery we will hike back to base camp (about 3 hours) and from base camp either hike back to Siguniang town (5 hours) or for no additional cost ride a horse back to Siguniang town (3 hours).

 

D6:Siguniang town (altitude 3,100)

Today we will have take some well deserved rest and relaxation with the comforts of Siguniang town. We will also go over the necessary technical training necessary for a summit attempt of Peak Three.

D7Siguniang town to Peak Three Base Camp (altitude 4,300 meters)

D8Peak Three Base Camp to Summit (altitude 5,355 meters) and back to Siguniang town (altitude 3,100 meters)

Day eight is the day we all have been waiting for, our last summit day! We will set off from base camp at about 3 AM for the summit and hike about 5-6 hours to reach the summit by about 8 AM. After enjoying the scenery we will hike back to base camp (about 3 hours) and from base camp either hike back to Siguniang town (5 hours) or for no additional cost ride a horse back to Siguniang town (3 hours).

D9Siguniang town to Chengdu (altitude 500 meters)

After a restful nights sleep and a hearty breakfast, we will drive about 3 hours from Siguniang town back to Chengdu. On the way back we will stop and see the famous pandas of China! In the evening we will have a final dinner together and one last night in the hotel.

D10:Departure from Chengdu (altitude 500 meters)

In the morning or afternoon you are free to catch transportation back to your respective destinations.

 

Not only offering hiking, but this trip offers you a chance to practice your horsemanship skills! Clients can ride horse to the base camps of each respective peak and after summit of Peak Two and Peak Three we will provide a horse for you to ride back to Siguniang town at no additional cost.
